While some major titles are joining the subscription catalog in September, several additional games will be to depart by the end of September.
A trio of notable installments—Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge—will be removed from the platform once September ends. These games are the latest ports of the rebooted mainline franchise and were part of the 2021 Master Collection.
Initially debuted in arcade cabinets and on systems such as the NES, the early Ninja Gaiden titles featured side-scrolling action. The reimagined franchise evolved into 3D format and greatly increased the challenge level. Additionally, it embraced more intense violence, which has become a signature element of the series.
If you interested in the storyline, the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 4 has been billed as a direct sequel to the third game. That makes now an ideal time to immerse yourself in the backstory before launch. It will be released by Microsoft’s game division and is set to be available on Game Pass on day one.
This year, players have already seen multiple additional releases: an enhanced version of the second game, along with a throwback spin-off that proved a popular release.
For those who want to continue playing these titles after they leave the service, active members can receive a 20% discount on buying them outright.
