Seattle staged a stunning fightback to defeat the Rams in overtime, securing their place in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a 30-14 hole in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad emerged victorious by a single point at home, registering their fifth straight win.

While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team secured their place to the play-offs after a 24-month absence.

With this result, the Seahawks now lead their division's race with a twelve and three mark, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the fifth seed with an 11-4 record.

Quarterback Sam Darnold had two picks but recovered to make two scoring throws, including the second TD to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a six-point lead at half-time before Kenneth Walker III broke free for a long scoring dash for the home side.

Los Angeles defensive back Wallace then took back Darnold's initial pick for 56 yards, leading to a one-yard score by Corum on the next play.

In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the advantage to sixteen points, but Rashid Shaheed provided the comeback with a spectacular punt return.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the end zone, and a converted two-point play forced the contest into an extra period.

Although Nacua raced in for his another TD in OT, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to setup the decisive score.
