Donald Trump has called off plans for a dispatch of government forces to the Northern California that had triggered extensive opposition from California leaders and sent protesters flooding into the streets.
The locale had been anxious after information circulated that the administration was ready to send more than 100 CBP and additional officers to the government installation in across the Bay, as part of a large-scale legal compliance initiative.
However, the chief executive announced he would not move forward with a “increase” of federal forces in the locale after meeting with the local official, Daniel Lurie, and business figures including Marc Benioff and Nvidia chief.
“During our discussion, the chief executive told me clearly that he was calling off every proposal for a government dispatch in San Francisco,” city leadership commented in a announcement.
